My name is Tessa and Damayantii is my spiritual name which my meditation teacher gave me some years ago.  I studied Geography and Anthropology at University College London and discovered my passion for yoga while I was there. I moved to Bristol to study an MSc in Nutrition, Physical Activity and Public Health and am now working on a PhD about concepts of wellbeing among people living with rheumatoid arthritis at the BRI.
I trained and am insured with the British Wheel of Yoga whose comprehensive course includes learning about anatomy and physiology and classical yoga texts. My meditation has been strongly influenced by Ananda Marga, an organisation that teaches meditation for free and provides many other services including disaster relief and orphanages in poor areas around the world. My asana practice has been influenced by Donna Fahri, Shiva Rea and many other inspirational women (and the odd man too) .

For those training to be BWY teachers, I am qualified to observe Recorded Teaching Practices (RTPs).  Please contact me to arrange these.
